‘Belonging and Association to Place’ exhibition is all about living in the Noosa district and how the local potters are influenced by their surroundings which is therefore reflected in their art work. The potters represented in this exhibition work together at the Cooroy Butter Factory Arts Centre and this is their annual exhibition. Needless to say, environmental, social and locality are topics described about within this range of ceramics. It’s all about being a local, using local clay, shapes depict the surrounding sky and seascapes, along with the seasonal colours.
Here are a couple of my pieces for the exhibition.
